Looking to add a fresh splash of vibrant green to your aquarium? Lysimachia nummularia, commonly known as Creeping Jenny or Moneywort, is a beautiful stem plant with small, rounded leaves that create a soft, natural appearance. Whether planted in groups, allowed to trail over driftwood, or used to brighten darker areas of an aquascape, this versatile species adds depth, texture, and movement to any planted aquarium.
Easy to grow and quick to establish, it is an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced aquascapers. Under stronger lighting and with added CO₂, the foliage can develop attractive golden-green tones, creating even greater contrast within your layout.
Plant each stem with a small gap between it and the next rather than placing them in one tight bunch. This encourages better root development, improved water circulation, and creates a fuller, more natural-looking group as the plants grow. Regular trimming will encourage new side shoots, resulting in a dense, vibrant display.
This plant is supplied as a premium Tissue Culture (TC) plant, grown under sterile laboratory conditions to ensure exceptional quality.
At Art of Aqua, we're passionate about helping hobbyists create thriving planted aquariums. Every Tissue Culture plant is carefully inspected before leaving our store, ensuring you receive healthy, premium-quality plants ready to become part of your next aquascape. With one of South Africa's largest and continually growing selections of aquatic plants, you'll always find something new to inspire your underwater world.
