Coral Moss (Riccardia chamedryfolia) (5g portions)

Introduction

Coral Moss (Riccardia chamedryfolia), also known as Mini Pellia, is a rare and highly sought-after liverwort native to Southeast Asia. This beautiful deep green plant features a unique coral-like texture that adds natural detail and depth to any aquascape. Its compact growth habit makes it an excellent choice for nano aquariums, shrimp tanks, and detailed hardscape layouts.

Coral Moss thrives best under moderate lighting and develops dense, lush mats over time with proper care and patience. It can easily be attached to driftwood, rocks, or other décor, creating a natural appearance while providing excellent shelter and grazing areas for shrimp and fish fry. Under high humidity conditions, it can even be grown emersed in terrariums and paludariums.

While growth is relatively slow, the plant rewards aquarists with an exceptionally attractive and textured appearance. CO₂ supplementation is strongly recommended for optimal growth and health. Like many mosses and liverworts, Coral Moss often performs best in a stable, well-maintained aquarium without excessive chemical supplementation.
