Glacier White Sand

Crisp, bright tones for clean and striking aquascapes.

Glacier White Sand is a fine decorative aquarium sand characterised by its bright white appearance and subtle natural variation.

Up close, the individual grains reveal delicate shades of white, translucent crystal-like tones and soft pale grey, with occasional darker or warmer specks adding just enough variation to prevent the substrate from appearing completely uniform.

Its clean, luminous appearance can dramatically brighten an aquarium and creates beautiful contrast against dark stone, driftwood, lush green planting and colourful aquatic life.

Ideal for:

  • Nature-style aquascapes
  • Planted aquariums
  • Bright sandy foregrounds
  • Aquascaping pathways
  • Open sand areas
  • Creating contrast around dark rock and driftwood
  • Minimalist aquascapes
  • Paludariums and natural displays

Why we like it

Bright white tones • Fine texture • Clean appearance • Exceptional contrast

Glacier White is the choice when you want the substrate to make a visual statement.

Its bright colouring immediately lifts the overall appearance of an aquarium and can make darker hardscape elements appear more dramatic, while green and red aquatic plants stand out beautifully against the lighter foreground.

Despite its predominantly white appearance, the subtle variation visible between the individual grains gives it more natural detail than a completely uniform artificial-looking white substrate.

Create dramatic contrast

Glacier White Sand is particularly effective when used selectively rather than necessarily covering the entire aquarium.

Use it to create a flowing pathway between rocks, an open sandy foreground, a river channel through planting, or a bright area beneath overhanging driftwood.

Against darker hardscape, the contrast can be especially striking and helps create a stronger sense of depth and perspective within the aquascape.

Preparation:
Rinse thoroughly before use to remove dust and loose particles.
