The Dennerle CO₂ Diffuser Ultra is a compact, high-performance CO₂ diffuser designed to efficiently distribute CO₂ throughout planted freshwater aquariums.
Its specially developed fine ceramic membrane produces extremely small CO₂ bubbles, creating a fine mist or nano-atomisation that helps the CO₂ dissolve efficiently into the aquarium water.
Unlike conventional glass diffusers, the CO₂ Diffuser Ultra is manufactured from transparent, shatter-resistant acrylic, combining a clean, discreet appearance with greater durability.
An integrated bubble counter makes it easy to monitor the rate of CO₂ being supplied to the aquarium without requiring a separate bubble counter.
Available in three sizes – S, M and L – to suit aquariums from small planted tanks through to larger aquascapes.

The specially developed ceramic membrane contains extremely fine pores that break the supplied CO₂ into very small bubbles.
These tiny bubbles provide a large contact area with the aquarium water, helping the CO₂ dissolve efficiently before reaching the surface.
For planted aquariums and aquascapes, effective CO₂ distribution is important for maintaining consistent CO₂ availability throughout the aquarium and supporting healthy plant growth.
The built-in bubble counter allows you to visually monitor the amount of CO₂ entering the aquarium.
This simplifies the CO₂ setup by combining the diffuser and bubble counter in one compact unit and makes it easier to adjust and monitor your CO₂ supply.
For accurate CO₂ management, we recommend using the diffuser together with a CO₂ drop checker or permanent CO₂ test.
One of the advantages of the Dennerle CO₂ Diffuser Ultra is its relatively low operating pressure requirement.
This allows it to be used not only with conventional pressurised CO₂ systems, but also with suitable Bio CO₂ systems, making it a versatile option for different planted aquarium setups.
Connect the diffuser to standard 4/6 mm CO₂-resistant tubing and position it vertically inside the aquarium using the supplied suction holder.
For best distribution, place the diffuser in an area with good water circulation so that the fine CO₂ bubbles can be carried throughout the aquarium.
Before first use, install the diffuser vertically in the aquarium for several hours to allow it to fill with a small amount of water.
