Dennerle - Cryptocoryne usteriana TC is available for pre-order – please confirm stock before ordering!
Cryptocoryne usteriana is a magnificent, large-growing Cryptocoryne native to the Philippines. It is renowned for its long, lance-shaped leaves with a distinctive hammered (bullated) texture and rich green colouring, making it a striking feature plant in larger planted aquariums. Its elegant foliage creates a lush, natural appearance and provides excellent contrast with finer-leaved stem plants.
Although it grows more slowly than many stem plants, Cryptocoryne usteriana is a hardy and rewarding species that develops into an impressive specimen over time. It is best suited to the midground or background of medium to large aquariums, where its broad, textured leaves can be fully appreciated. Like all Cryptocorynes, it thrives in a nutrient-rich substrate, drawing most of its nutrients through its extensive root system.

This plant is supplied as an in-vitro tissue culture plant, produced under sterile laboratory conditions. It is free from algae, snails, parasites, and pesticides, making it a safe choice for planted aquariums and shrimp tanks.
Like most Cryptocoryne species, Cryptocoryne usteriana may experience temporary leaf melt after planting while adapting to its new environment. This is a normal part of the acclimation process, and healthy new submerged leaves will emerge from the established root system. A nutrient-rich substrate will encourage strong root development and long-term growth.
Please note: As this is a living plant, the size, shape, and colour intensity may vary slightly from the photographs depending on the season, growing conditions, and stage of development.
