Dennerle - Hygrophila lancea 'Chai' is available for pre-order – please confirm stock before ordering!
Hygrophila lancea 'Chai' is a rare, compact cultivar valued for its narrow leaves and unusual pale pink to reddish tones. Its delicate colouring creates a striking contrast against dark-green plants and hardscape, making it an eye-catching feature in carefully maintained aquascapes.
This cultivar grows slowly and performs best under strong lighting with injected COâ‚‚ and a complete nutrient supply. Regular light trimming encourages a low, branching form. Because of its compact size, it is especially effective as a small foreground or midground group in high-tech layouts.

This plant is supplied as an in-vitro tissue culture. Remove it from the cup, rinse away all culture gel thoroughly with clean water, divide the plant mass into small portions, and plant with spacing in the substrate. Strong light, COâ‚‚, and balanced fertilisation are recommended for the best colour and compact growth.
Please note: As this is a living plant, size, leaf shape, colour, and fullness may vary slightly from the product images and between individual specimens. Some emersed-grown leaves may change as the plant adapts to submerged aquarium growth.
