Dennerle - Limnophila sessiliflora

Limnophila sessiliflora is a fast-growing Asian stem plant with soft, finely divided foliage that creates a light, feathery texture in the aquarium. Submerged growth is typically bright green, while stronger lighting can add warm rusty tones to the shoot tips.

It is an excellent background plant and a useful alternative to more light-demanding finely leaved species. Planting several stems together creates the best visual effect, and frequent trimming encourages branching and keeps the group full and compact.

Important Note

This plant is supplied in Dennerle’s Plant Bag format, where the plant is rooted in a coconut/coir plug held in a net pot. Unlike traditional rockwool-grown aquarium plants, the plug does not need to be removed before planting. Simply remove the plant from the outer packaging, rinse gently if needed, and plant the coconut plug directly into the substrate. The roots can continue growing through the plug and into the surrounding substrate.
