DESCRIPTION

Dennerle Plants Microsorum pteropus 'Trident'

Microsorum pteropus 'Trident', commonly known as Trident Java Fern, is an elegant variety of the classic Java Fern, distinguished by its narrow, finely divided leaves that resemble the shape of a trident. Its delicate foliage creates a graceful, flowing appearance, making it a favourite for nature-style aquascapes and aquariums with driftwood or rock hardscapes.

As an epiphytic plant, Microsorum pteropus 'Trident' should be attached to wood, rocks, or other hardscape rather than planted directly into the substrate. It is exceptionally hardy and thrives under low to medium lighting, making it an excellent choice for beginners as well as experienced aquascapers. Over time, it forms dense clumps of lush green foliage that provide shelter for shrimp and small fish while adding natural texture to the aquarium.

Important Note

This plant is supplied as a healthy, potted aquarium plant. Before placing it in your aquarium, carefully remove the pot and rock wool from around the roots.

As an epiphyte, the rhizome should never be buried in the substrate, as this may cause it to rot. Instead, attach the plant to driftwood, rocks, or other hardscape using aquarium-safe thread or glue. Over time, the roots will naturally anchor themselves to the surface.

Please note: As this is a living plant, the size, leaf shape, and appearance may vary slightly from the photographs depending on the season, growing conditions, and stage of development.
