Dennerle Water Test 6in1

Rapid Test Strips for 6 Important Aquarium Water Parameters

The Dennerle Water Test 6in1 provides a quick and convenient way to check six of the most important water parameters in your freshwater aquarium – with results available in approximately 60 seconds.

Simply immerse the test strip in the aquarium water, allow the colours to develop and compare them with the supplied colour scale.

An excellent choice for routine water-quality checks, new aquarium setups and monitoring changes after water changes or adjustments to your aquarium water.

Tests 6 Important Water Parameters

The Dennerle Water Test 6in1 measures:

pH – Acidity / Alkalinity
Indicates whether your aquarium water is acidic, neutral or alkaline. Maintaining an appropriate and stable pH is important for fish, shrimp and plants.

KH – Carbonate Hardness
Measures the carbonate hardness and therefore the buffering capacity of the water. Adequate KH helps protect the aquarium against unwanted fluctuations in pH.

GH – Total Hardness
Measures the overall concentration of hardness-forming minerals in the water. Different fish, shrimp and plants have different requirements when it comes to water hardness.

NO₂ – Nitrite
Nitrite is toxic to fish and should not be detectable in a biologically stable aquarium. Testing nitrite is particularly important when cycling a new aquarium or when biological filtration may have been disrupted.

NO₃ – Nitrate
Nitrate is the end product of the aquarium nitrogen cycle and is also an important plant nutrient. Monitoring nitrate can help with aquarium maintenance and plant fertilisation decisions.

Cl₂ – Chlorine
Tests for chlorine, which may be present in tap water and can be harmful to aquarium inhabitants.

Quick & Easy Water Testing

Using the Dennerle Water Test 6in1 is simple:

Dip – Read – Done.

The test strips provide a convenient overview of your aquarium's most important basic water parameters without requiring individual liquid tests for each value.

This makes them particularly useful for routine monitoring and quickly identifying when a water parameter may require closer attention.

Ideal for RO & Remineralised Water

The Water Test 6in1 is also a useful tool when working with RO water or remineralised aquarium water.

Testing parameters such as GH, KH and pH can help you monitor whether prepared water is appropriate for the livestock you intend to keep.

Important to Know

Test strips are excellent for quick routine checks and identifying trends, but where a particularly precise measurement is required, a dedicated liquid/drop test may provide greater accuracy.

Dennerle itself describes the Water Test 6in1 as providing sufficient accuracy for normal aquarium purposes, while noting that drop tests can provide more precise measurements.
