DESCRIPTION

ature Soil – Premium Japanese Aquatic Plant & Shrimp Substrate

Nature Soil is a premium Japanese aquarium substrate made from 100% natural organic materials sourced from the Kyushu region of Japan. Using high-quality black soil as its foundation, Nature Soil is blended with carefully selected, fully matured compost to create a nutrient-rich substrate specifically developed for aquatic plants and shrimp aquariums.

Designed to support healthy root development, vibrant plant growth, and enhanced coloration, Nature Soil is suitable for most aquatic plant species. Its carefully engineered granule structure remains stable underwater, preventing compaction while providing excellent conditions for root growth and beneficial bacterial colonization.

Nature Soil naturally buffers aquarium water to a mild acidic pH, creating an ideal environment for many aquatic plants and sensitive shrimp species. The substrate releases nutrients and minerals gradually, helping to reduce the risk of nuisance algae outbreaks commonly experienced during the early stages of a planted aquarium. This controlled nutrient release also helps reduce the frequency of water changes during the initial setup period.

Whether you are creating a lush aquascape or a dedicated shrimp aquarium, Nature Soil provides a stable, long-lasting foundation for success.

Why Choose Nature Soil?

Reliable pH Control
Naturally buffers water into a stable, shrimp-safe acidic range, helping maintain consistent water parameters.

Ideal for Shrimp Aquariums
Tested with sensitive Caridina shrimp through breeding, moulting, and long-term maintenance.

Cleaner Cycling & Reduced Stress
Promotes a more predictable aquarium cycle and helps reduce instability in newly established tanks.

Long-Lasting Performance
Maintains its structure and buffering capacity over time without rapidly breaking down or turning muddy.

Supports Beneficial Bacteria & Biofilm
Creates an excellent environment for beneficial microorganisms and natural biofilm growth, an important food source for shrimp.

Enhanced Plant Growth & Colouration
Provides essential nutrients and a stable rooting environment for healthy aquatic plants.

Suitable For

  • Nature aquariums and aquascapes
  • Shrimp aquariums (especially Caridina species)
  • Most aquatic plant species
  • Soft water and mildly acidic aquarium setups

Create a thriving planted aquarium with Nature Soil – the natural foundation for healthy plants, vibrant colours, and successful shrimp keeping.
