Petrified Wood Stone

Petrified Wood Stone combines the character and detail of ancient wood with the strength and structure of natural stone, making every piece a truly unique addition to an aquascape.

Colour & Appearance

Petrified Wood is formed through the gradual mineralisation of ancient wood, preserving many of the distinctive lines, layers and textures associated with natural timber.

When dry, the stone displays softer earthy shades of brown, grey, tan and ochre. Once wet, these colours become noticeably richer, revealing beautiful amber, golden-brown and rust-toned details that highlight the natural patterns within the stone.

Aquascaping Use

Its layered structure and wood-like appearance make Petrified Wood particularly effective in nature-style aquascapes, forest-inspired layouts, riverbeds and rugged landscape designs.

Use individual pieces as focal stones or combine several pieces to create larger formations and a natural sense of depth.

Pair It With

The warm, earthy tones of Petrified Wood pair beautifully with green aquatic plants, mosses, natural wood, sand and earthy substrates. It is particularly effective where you want the hardscape to feel aged, natural and established.
