For applications requiring an even higher level of water purity, Art of Aqua offers RO/EDI High-Purity Water.

Following Reverse Osmosis purification, the water undergoes Electrodeionisation (EDI) to further remove dissolved ionic contaminants.

Our system produces water with a measured resistivity of:

18.2 MΩ·cm

This represents an exceptionally high level of ionic purity and provides a highly controlled starting point for specialised aquarium and water-preparation applications.

Where can RO/EDI Water be used?

Why choose EDI?

EDI provides an additional purification stage after Reverse Osmosis, reducing remaining dissolved ions to extremely low levels.

For aquarists, this means starting with water containing minimal ionic content and then building the required water chemistry through controlled remineralisation or the addition of a marine salt mix.

Important

Higher purity does not mean that the water is automatically suitable for direct use with livestock.

RO/EDI Water contains extremely low levels of dissolved minerals. For freshwater aquariums, fish and shrimp, the water should be appropriately remineralised before use according to the requirements of the species being kept.

For marine aquariums, it provides an exceptionally pure base for preparing saltwater with an appropriate marine salt mix.
