Art of Aqua Double-Pass RO Water is produced using an advanced double-pass Reverse Osmosis (RO) system, where the water undergoes two stages of RO purification to achieve exceptionally low levels of dissolved minerals and impurities.

Our Double-Pass RO Water is produced to the following specification:

TDS: <5 ppm
Conductivity: <10 µS/cm

This provides aquarists with a clean and consistent starting point from which water parameters can be adjusted to suit the specific aquarium and livestock being kept.

Where can Double-Pass RO Water be used?

Ideal for:

• Freshwater aquariums requiring softer water

• Planted aquariums

• Discus and other soft-water fish

• Shrimp aquariums, when appropriately remineralised

• Breeding setups

• Diluting hard tap water

• Preparing water to specific GH, KH or conductivity targets

• Aquariums where consistent source-water quality is important

Why Double-Pass RO?

In a double-pass RO system, water purified through the first RO stage undergoes a second Reverse Osmosis purification stage.

This further reduces dissolved minerals, salts and other impurities, producing very low-TDS water and giving the aquarist greater control over the final water chemistry.

Important

RO water contains very little mineral content and may need to be remineralised or appropriately blended before being added to an aquarium.

The required GH, KH and mineral content will depend on the fish, shrimp and plants being kept.
