Hikari PraziPro – Highly Effective, Gentle Parasite Control

Hikari PraziPro is a ready-to-use liquid concentrate formulated to safely and effectively eliminate common parasitic infestations in freshwater, marine aquariums, and ponds. Using the proven active ingredient praziquantel, PraziPro targets flukes, tapeworms, flatworms and other praziquantel-susceptible parasites—without harming your biological filtration or stressing your fish. Ideal for both treatment and prevention, it offers aquarists a reliable solution for maintaining a healthy, parasite-free environment.

Directions for Use

• Perform a minimum 30% water change before each treatment.

• Shake vigorously before dosing.

• Dose 1 teaspoon (≈5 mL) per 76 L (or 29.5 mL per 454 L).

• Distribute evenly around the aquarium or into the filter for best results.

• One treatment typically lasts 5–7 days.

• Retreat only if necessary, but not more than once every 3 days.

• Remove activated carbon, protein skimmers, and UV sterilizers during treatment.

• May cause temporary foaming—this is normal.

Important: Most targeted parasites have life cycles of up to 28 days, so severe infestations may require multiple uninterrupted treatments.

Precautions

• Do not overdose. Calculate true water volume by subtracting displacement from substrate, rock, and décor.

• Do not combine with other medications.

• Avoid sulfur- or sulfinite-based water conditioners, as they may reduce effectiveness.

• Increased aeration is recommended in heavily stocked or coral-rich marine systems.

• Not suitable in systems culturing Polyclad flatworms or housing delicate feather duster worms.

When to Use

Use PraziPro at the first sign of parasitic activity or anytime new livestock, plants, or external water sources are introduced and parasite exposure is possible.
