Vallisneria spiralis "Red" is an ideal choice for new aquarists as it is strong and low-maintenance. It thrives when provided with optimal conditions and is the most resilient of all Vallis varieties, as well as the most visually appealing.
Leaves are attractive, and dark green/red when grown under optimum conditions. All species of Vallisneria do not tolerate liquid carbon, therefore we do not recommend adding these plants to any tank using liquid carbon
